Traditional Hand Tapped Borneo Style Tattoos

The tools used to apply the pictured tattoos are made with a bamboo stick which has a group of metal tattoo needles attached with thread. The assembly is lightly tapped with a stick to apply the ink. This process is much more gentle on the skin than machine applied tattoos resulting in little or no bleeding and very fast healing times as wll as reduced pain during the process.
